YouthCode-Gaza was the Gaza-based 12-month adaptation of Code.X’s flagship program, launched in partnership with Amideast West Bank & Gaza. The 12-month initiative empowered high school students with in-demand skills in computer science, human-centered design, and entrepreneurial thinking, delivered by Code.X volunteers from top U.S. universities and tech companies.

YouthCode-Gaza combined intensive learning with long-term mentorship, giving students the tools to build computational, creative, and critical thinking skills.

Our Approach

YouthCode-Gaza built on nearly a decade of Code.X’s work in Palestine, continuing the legacy of Code for Palestine, which graduated over 300 Palestinian youth and created a national network of programmers, entrepreneurs, and educators.

In 2023, YouthCode-Gaza launched with a cohort of 50 of Gaza’s top-performing high school students. YouthCode-Gaza was interrupted and discontinued due to the ongoing destruction in the Gaza Strip.
