The Gaza Mentor Program connects high school students in Gaza with volunteer mentors from around the world for one-on-one support in academic subjects and college preparation. Through weekly video calls and daily text check-ins, mentors help students stay on track with schoolwork, strengthen their skills, and pursue university admissions.
Our Approach
Since October 2023, students in Gaza have faced severe disruptions to education: canceled classes, destroyed infrastructure, and ongoing displacement. Many are preparing for college and competitive exams without reliable access to teachers, materials, or the Internet.
The Gaza Mentor Program to fills these gaps:
Provide consistent, individualized academic support where school systems cannot
Guide students through standardized test prep (Tawjihi, ACT/SAT, Duolingo English)
Offer mentorship on college and scholarship applications abroad
Create a trusted connection with an academic mentor
Mentors work 1-on-1 with students, supporting them in subjects like English, Math, Science, and Computer Science, or providing guidance on college admissions and test prep.
